WATFORD FC is pleased to confirm it has agreed terms with Liverpool over the transfer of striker Jerome Sinclair.
“The highly-rated forward has penned a five-year deal at Vicarage Road and becomes the Hornets’ first new signing ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign. Sinclair became the youngest player to ever represent Liverpool when handed a first-team debut – aged just 16 years and six days – in a League Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion in September 2012.
The 19-year-old went on to play five times for the Reds, scoring during his first start against Exeter City in the FA Cup earlier this year. An England international at Under-16 and Under-17 level, Sinclair spent a brief spell on loan at Wigan Athletic in March 2015, making his Latics debut during Watford’s 2-0 win at the DW Stadium.
Born in Birmingham, he learnt his trade as part of West Brom’s Academy setup and impressed sufficiently to earn a move to Liverpool as a 15-year-old in 2011″.
