Tottenham are set to sign Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle for an eventual £30m, British sources understand.
An agreement has been reached for Spurs to pay five instalments of £6m to sign the France international.Sissoko was given permission by the France national team to leave their camp ahead of a friendly against Italy to complete the transfer, leaving at 9am on Deadline Day.
The 27-year-old has wanted to leave Newcastle all summer after starring in France’s route to the Euro 2016 final.Spurs are expected to complete the signings of winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and young goalkeeper Pau Lopez on Deadline Day, but they have also been considering attacking-midfield players after missing out on Wilfried Zaha.
Wilfried Bony looks set to leave Manchester City on Wednesday, with Stoke City appearing to be his most likely destination.
The Ivory Coast international has been reportedly linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer with West Ham keen on signing the striker earlier in August.
Bony, down the striking pecking order at the Etihad, tweeted: “It’s a new day & I look forward to a new exciting challenge.”
