Governor Akinwumi Ambode (Lagos State)
When Ambode took over from ex- governor ( now power minister) Babtunde Fashola, one would assume he will ave problem with acceptance. However Gov Ambode has so far surpassed the voter’s expectation. Residents of Lagos can testify to new road projects being executed as well as the rapid increase in alien investor, lets not forget the approval of the 4th mainland bridge project.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna State)
Although the first few months of his administration had several controversies ranging from religious dispute to the ban on street beggars.El rufai has gone to make huge impacts in state. The kaduna state governor and his deputy recently took a 50% salary pay cut. He also launched the free education scheme in the state. In the area of security, the government donated 107 vehicles and bullet proof vests as well as 51 motorcycles to the police and other security agencies to combat crime.
Governor Willie Obiano (Anambra State)
Obiano is doing execellently well in Anambra state. If you travel to the east frequently, you can see several projects the governor has executed in less than two years. Obiano has moved the state forward through proactive commitment in the areas of agriculture, trade, commerce, oil, gas and industrialization with security as the major enabler.
Governor Ben Ayade (Cross River State)
As a former senator, Ayade came into power with so many prospects in terms of industrialization and Road project some of which the governor has achieved in little time. he has established the Cross River Garment Factory, which is the biggest in Africa with a size of 5,000sqm, and employs 3000 people. Four primary health care centres have been renovated and equipped. Currently, on going, are the construction of Calabar Pharmaceutical Company and Rice City which will serve to provide food, thus boosting the economy of the state.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto State)
Tambuwal is arguably the most humble and hardworking governor in the north. The former Speaker of the House of Representatives reduced the number of special advisers to cut the cost of government spending. Also the state contributory health scheme has taken off in 4 Communities.
Tanmbuwal ensured 22 major projects inherited from previous administration are funded and completed.
