Sequel to reports online that Former Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih passed away today May 4, the Edo Chapter of PDP has denied the rumour.

Chief Anthony Anenih

Edo State chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, and a former youth leader of the party in the state, Barrister Vincent Akhere; described the claims as total fabrication and handiwork of mischief makers.

Chief Dan said: That is a satanic rumour. People are just lying and lying secretly. I have talked to him twice today. We spoke yesterday.

“I don’t know how people can go about this kind of useless rumour. Please tell whoever is drawing your attention to it that he should ask for God’s forgiveness.”

Barrister Akhere also said “I spoke with him on phone about 15 minutes ago. Chief is well, alive and kicking. We even joke over the matter. It is true that chief had a surgery not too long ago. But he is fine now.”
