Terrorists Hijack Cairo Bound Plane Conveying 82 Passengers

An Egyptian passenger plane, carrying 82 passengers and a 7 crew members, have been hijacked by an Egyptian named Ibrahim Samaham, who wore a suicide vest and forced make an emergency landing in Cyprus.


According to report, the plane, EgyptAir MS181, was en-route Cairo from Alexandria, when it requested permission to make an emergency landing at Larnaca Airport on Cyprus.

EgyptAir, via twitter confirmed the news,and according to Cypriot officials, at least one man on the plane is believed to be armed, and explosives have been found on the plane, Cypriot officials said.The hijacking of the flight, reportedly carrying 82 passengers and a crew of 7, was confirmed by EgyptAir on Twitter.


Androulla Vassiliou, former European Commissioner for Education, tweeted that the hijackers demanded that authorities leave runway ‘in order to release women and children passengers’.
