Super Eagles Move Up In Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the FIFA rankings released today.

The Super Eagles enjoyed impressive victories in their friendlies played last week, recording a vital 1-0 win over fellow African counterparts Mali and defeating Luxembourg 3-1 with Manchester city starlet, Kelechi Iheanacho scoring in both games.

This now means the Super Eagles are now 12th in Africa (moving one place up) and 61st in the world (moving six places up).The third and final round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will commence from October 2016 through to November 2017 but the draws are due for June 24th and the Eagles without a substantive Coach will at least face any of Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal or Egypt as top seeds for the 20 team format of the final leg in the qualifying race to reach Russia.
