Soccer: MFM Coach Doffs Hat For Plateau United

After the 1-1 draw between Plateau United and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) of Lagos, the head coach of the MFM soccer team scored the Jos side high. The encounter between the two sides which held in Jos, was one of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) games of Match day 9. Plateau United’s Reuben Bala struck in the 49th minute to cancel out Adekunle Adegboyega’s first half strike for MFM FC.



The coach of the MFM FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu revealed his team was lucky to have managed to secure a draw in the encounter.

Speaking with MFM FC Media, Ilechukwu said, “I want to say that we had a good game but I think the result was a reflection of how much both teams put into getting a result at the end of the encounter.

“Yes, they had a good game because a lot of things worked for them, the pitch was a big plus for them, both sides had chances but we were quick to convert one.

“I will not say we were superior because we picked a point, they gave us a good fight.”

The MFM boys currently sit third on the log with15 points from nine league matches. In their next match, they would play host to table leaders Enugu Rangers at the Agege stadium.
