Police Begins Manhunt For Ex-Militant Leader, Ndigbara

The Rivers State command of the Nigerian Police force has begun manhunt for ex-militant leader, Solomon Ndigbara, barely 48 hours after the House Committee on Army visited his residence.

The Police, in a statement by its spokesman in the state, yesterday, Mr Ahmad Muhammad, said that the ex-militant leader was wanted in connection with a property he allegedly organised to be razed in Bori, headquarters of Khana Local Government Area of the state.

The statement reads in bit “The Rivers State Police Command has declared one Solomon Ndigabara “m,” a native of Yeghe community of Gokana council, Rivers State.

He is wanted for the alleged arson he planned and executed on 22/02/2016 on a property worth millions of naira in Bori, Khana council. “He is dark in complexion, about 5.9 inches tall and in his early 50s.

His last known address is Yeghe community of Gokana council, Rivers State.

Any person or group of persons with useful and actionable information as to the whereabouts of the wanted person should report to the nearest police station or call Police distress lines.”

The ex-militant leader went into hiding after soldiers invaded his residence in Yeghe community and also sealed off his residence in Port Harcourt.

His counsel,  Eugene Ode, had told the Committee that his client,  Ndigbara will be ready to make himself available to the committee if he gets an assurance from the Federal Government that he will not be arrested, adding that there were threats to arrest his client.
