One out of the four Nigerians, convicted and executed by the Indonesian government on drug trafficking charges, have been cremated, with the bodies of the remaining three been prepared for burial.
With the return of convicts slated for death, which comprises of citizens from India, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, returned to jail at the last minute, controversies have cropped up doubting the entire process.
According to reports, authorities did not give any reason for this act, but further investigations showed that the execution ground was hit by a major storm as the other sentences were carried out.
Muhammad Prasetyo, Attorney General, revealed to reporters that 10 inmates had been returned to their cells, suggesting their executions were not imminent.
