Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia State and now Senatorial candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), has headed to tribunal to register his displeasure at the just concluded re-run election in the state.
Kalu, who contested under PPA umbrella at the just concluded Abia North election re-run, marched to the tribunal in Umuahia, the state capital, to complain about the election being massively rigged and packed full of irregularities.
Kalu, believes that the election was rigged after INEC, had declared the March 6,2016 re-run election as inconclusive, only for them to return later that day and pronounced PDP’s candidate, Mr. Mao Ohuabunwa, the winner.
Mr. K. C. Nwufor (SAN) leads Dr. Kalu’s four-man legal team of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
According to his Kalu’s lawyer:
Kalu has vowed not to allow this swindle to become a permanent feature in Abia State by approaching the tribunal to rectify the latest anomaly by calling the perpetrators to order and enthroning political accountability.
