Yesterday, we reported that Chief Olu Falae along with three others were involved in a N3.145bn fraud, an accusation, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chairman, has denied.
According to reports, Olu Falae, received the sum of N100million paid into the account of Marreco Limited, a company he heads.
Remi Olayiwola, Ondo State Publicity Secretary via a statement said:
The party and its national Chairman never had any business dealing or transaction whatsoever with either the CBN or the Joint trust Dimension Limited.
We wish to inform the general public that it is the same amount sent by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the SDP as a result of their inter-party agreement that is now being re-presented to the public through another dubious channel in order to portray Chief Falae and the SDP in bad light.
It is falsehood. It has failed in the past and it will fail again no matter how many times our detractors attempt to smear our name obviously for political reasons.
Recall the SDP chairman was also accused of fraud after it was revealed taht he received N100m from the $2.1b arms purchase loot allegedly stolen by the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
