Nigeria Drops Five Places, Argentina Now Number One In Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped five places from 62nd to 67th in the latest FIFA ranking released today.The Super Eagles who went through a disastrous outing over the last month,picking up only one of six points available against the Egyptians,fell one spot to 14th in Africa,behind the likes of Ghana, Algeria, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo Democratic Republic,Egypt and Senegal.

The highest ranked African team in Africa is Algeria, who moved from 37th to 33rd in the world and reclaimed their number one spot from Cape Verde, who fell from 1st to 6th in Africa. In the 34th position is reigning African champions Cote d’Ivoire who moved two places with Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Dr Congo, Guinea, Congo joining them to complete the top ten in Africa.

Meanwhile, Argentina have replaced Belgium to become the number one in the world, while Chile, Columbia,Germany,Spain,Brazil,Portugal,Uruguay,and England complete the top ten FIFA ranked teams respectively.
