Following the violence that ensued between Ifeanyi Ubah’s football club, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Heartland FC, the Billionaire business man, Ifeanyi Ubah, will be facing sanctions for his role in the violence.
The League Management Company, after handing down sanctions to all the parties involved in the violence on Wednesday, have again decided on reviewing the sanctions earlier meted out against Ubah and Heartland goalkeeper, Ebele Obi, after a detailed video of the incident came to light.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the first sanction was :
charged for the encroachment of their supporters on the technical area immediately after the match against Heartland and acting in a manner capable of bringing the league to disrepute contrary to Rule 13.8 of the Rules and Framework.
They were also sanctioned for lack of adequate security, crowd control and granting access to unauthorized persons to restricted areas, which is contrary to Rule B13.52, a fine of N500, 000 on each of the two breaches and they were also allowed 48 hours to appeal the ruling in writing or submit to the decision of the LMC’.
The chairman of the club, Ifeanyi Ubah, the chairman of the club in the sanction was only reprimanded by the LMC for not setting a good example instead he fueled the violence which led to the harassment of the players of Heartland by his team members and personal aides.
LMC also banned Heartland goalkeeper from all NPFL activities and six matches.
