Leicester city have agreed a record deal with Cska Moscow for Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa.
The Premier League champions expect to finally capture their No 1 summer target after agreeing a fee with CSKA, with a medical scheduled for Wednesday.
Musa has been frequently scouted by Leicester over the past 12 months and Steve Walsh, the club’s head of recruitment, regards him as a priority signing this summer.
Leicester have been in negotiations for the last six weeks over a deal for the 23-year-old, while an offer of nearly £19 million was rejected by the Russian club in January.
But Leicester resumed negotiations in May and are pushing ahead in their attempts to sign the forward as they prepare for the Champions League.
Musa scored 18 goals to help CSKA win the Russian Premier League title this season.
The deal will ensure he becomes their record signing, ahead of £12million recruit Nampalys Mendy.
