Apple boasts that the iPhone 7 is designed with ‘the best battery life of any smartphone it has ever launched’.
But a new review from UK-based which finds it is actually the worst compared to three Android rivals, Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 and the LG G5.
After being tested with normal tasks, the firm found that the iPhone 7 battery lags behind its competitors, especially during 3G call time – it only manged 712 minutes, compared to HTC 10’s 1,859.
‘We compared the iPhone 7’s battery life, when making calls and browsing the web, to those of three top Android competitors: the Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 and LG G5, and the results were staggering,’ Callum Tennent with Which? shared in the article.
The first test was to see how many minutes of 3G call time each phone could provide.
HTC 10 came in first with 1,859 minutes, followed by LG G5 (1,579), then Samsung Galaxy S7 (1,492) and finally, the iPhone 7 (712).
Apple’s ‘best model yet’ also came in last when for internet performance, but this time it wasn’t left completely in the dust.

The results showed that the iPhone 7 is only 25 minutes less than the LG G5 – the iPhone 7 had 615 minutes, while LG G5 had 640.
However, HTC 10 took home the gold again with 790 minutes, followed by Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with 677.
