Icardi Signs New 5-Year Inter Milan Deal To End Arsenal Rumours

After a seemingly endless amount of transfer speculation throughout the summer linking Argentine striker Mauro Icardi with a move to the Premier League, it’s been confirmed on Sunday that the forward is staying at the San Siro.

While the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea had been linked to Icardi, he’s now signed a new deal to remain at Inter Milan.According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 23-year-old striker has agreed a new five year deal with Inter.Icardi is set to earn 4.5 million euros a season, before bonuses.

Perhaps most importantly, should the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea look to sign Icardi in the future, suitors will need to pay over 100 million euros to match the brand new release clause in the player’s contract.

The player has turned to social media to celebrate his new deal.Icardi wrote that he’s got the same love for Inter now as he did over last 3 years, while he intends to be at the club for many years to come.
