Zenit St. Petersburg striker Hulk is set to be the latest high profile Brazilian footballer to move to China, with a deal reached between the Russian club and Shanghai SIPG, who are managed by Sven Goran Eriksson.
A deal has been struck for the Brazilian in a deal worth around €55m. Ex Shakthar manager Lucescu has taken over from Andre Villas Boas at Zenit and let the ex Porto forward know that he did not figure in Lucescu’s plans.
Hulk, who was part of Brazil’s Copa América squad this summer, will join other high profile compatriots such as Alex Teixeira, Ramires, Renato Augusto, Ricardo Goulart and Gil in the Chinese Superleague, which has been flexing its financial muscle over the last twelve months.

Hulk can expect a salary of around €300,000 a week, he lands in Shanghai tomorrow morning to complete the deal, after spending four years in Russia. Hulk has previously played in Japan too. He turns 30 in July.
