Telsa Motors recorded its first accident after 130 million miles.

Joshua Brown, who died at the age of 40 after it was announced as the first man to die in a self-driving car. Joshua Brown who was a former Navy SEAL was said to be watching Harry Porter when his Telsa ran into a white truck leaving him dead while the movie kept playing.

Although, reports have said that sometime this year Joshua Brown narrowly escaped an accident as his Telsa was heading towards a white truck leaving us to wonder what’s with the white truck?

Despite the claim that it is not possible for Telsa to play a movie on the touch screen but the driver of the white truck reported that when he got down from the car, he noticed the Harry Porter movie still playing on the touch screen.

‘It was still playing when he died and snapped a telephone pole a quarter mile down the road,’ Baressi, 62, said.

‘He went so fast through my trailer I didn’t see him,’ he added.

‘’ Baressi says he only heard the movie in the aftermath of the crash – and police did not mention the driver being distracted by a film in any of their reports.’’

In response to this, Telsa expressed their condolence with Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla Motors, tweeted: ‘Our condolences for the tragic loss.’ But still defended the automobile saying it failed to recognise the truck because of the white colour stating it looked like the sky but also went further to say that the driver failed to use his brakes.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating.

Preliminary reports suggest Baressi’s truck left in front of Brown’s Tesla at an intersection of a divided highway where there was no traffic light, officials said.

Brown died of injuries caused in the crash on May 7. He was involved in a similar near-miss on April 5 and posted a video of the close call online.

The video showed a Canton, Ohio, resident taking manual control of the Tesla to swerve out of the way of a white truck as it moved in front of him on the freeway.

Self-driving cars are on the increase as the likes of Tesla and Google explore driverless technology. Especially with major automobiles going in this direction, next year promises to have a lot of self-driving cars.

‘’A major study released earlier this month said the looming arrival of self-driving vehicles is likely to vastly reduce traffic fatalities, but also poses difficult moral dilemmas.’’

‘’The scientists said autonomous driving systems will require programmers to develop algorithms to make critical decisions that are based more on ethics than technology, such as whether to sacrifice a driver or passenger rather than pedestrians.’’
