News broke earlier today that world boxing legend, Mohammed Ali, had passed on at the age of 74.
Ali, according to reports was surrounded by family and friends as he took his last breaths in the hospital he had been rushed to on Friday evening. He had been rushed to the hospital a day earlier for difficulty in breathing.
Mohammed Ali‘s spokesman said:
After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening.
He was said to have been on life support after he was found in his home on Thursday unable to breath.
Speaking to MSNBC, Bob Gunnell, Ali’s spokesman said the family were ‘devastated’ by his death.

It was a very peaceful passing and they are with him as we speak. You know, we lost a great person in this world tonight.
We don’t have an official cause of death yet, but it has to be from complications of Parkinson’s.’
