Dembele Joins Celtic

Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele has completed a move to Scottish champions Celtic.

The club confirmed his signing on their website in a statement;

CELTIC are delighted to announce the signing of Moussa Dembele from Fulham on a four-year contract, beginning on July 1.The talented striker becomes Brendan Rodgers’ first signing of the summer and the highly-rated 19-year-old Frenchman will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training in Slovenia.

Dembele joins the Hoops from English Championship side Fulham where he moved to at the age of 16 after starting his career in France with Paris Saint-Germain.The teenager enjoyed a successful debut campaign, winning the Premier Academy League with the club’s Under-18 team, before starring for the Cottagers in the Premier League and the Championship, where he scored 17 goals in all competitions last season.

The forward’s stunning season unsurprisingly made him a much sought-after player in the summer transfer window, and Celtic have won the race for his signature.
