Dani Alves has obviously stated he will be leaving Barcelona this summer for fresh challenges elsewhere.The Brazil defender won 23 trophies in eight years at the Nou Camp and is being linked with a transfer to Italian club Juventus.
Alves is not shy to admit that he got too comfortable at Barcelona and needs new challenges elsewhere.Alves signed for Barcelona from Sevilla for £25.5million in 2008 and has 247 appearances in La Liga to his name.
‘What is certain is that I will not stay at Barcelona,’ Alves said, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.’In life, we should explore options outside our comfort zone. Barcelona is an amazing club, but things were becoming too easy.’The 33-year-old wants to stay in Europe but is still considering his options. ‘I always have the desire for a new challenge,’ Alves said after Brazil’s 0-0 draw with Ecuador in Copa America on Saturday.I hope that I can bring success like I did at Barcelona to another European club.’

Alves has been linked with a number of European clubs with Juventus winning the race to sign the experienced defender amid interests from Manchester United, Chelsea and Brazilian club Vasco De Gama but the Brazilian right back is currently focusing on the Copa America after which a decision on his future will finally be made.
