Cult Clash Leaves Four Dead In Ilorin

The right to who rules a school has led to the death of four people over the weekend in Ilorin.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, two rival cult group engaged in a fight over who rules supreme, which turned out to be a bloodbath as four people lost their live in the clash.

The cult clash, which happened around Saturday night and wee hours of Sunday morning took place at  Babako, Ita-Amodu and Agbo-Oba areas of Ilorin metropolis, leaving residents of the area running for their lives.

According to an eye witness, who spoke with News Agency of Nigeria, said the cult group known as ‘Aiye’ first struck at Baboko on Saturday night around 9.30pm, leaving two dead.

A revenge mission led to more death in the Ita-Amodu and Agbo-0ba areas of the town.

Ajayi Okasanmi, the police spokesperson in the state confirmed the incident.

I can confirm to you that one person has been killed by the suspected cultists and this happened at Babaoko area of Ilorin.

Men of the state police command has taken his corpse to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.

Okasanmi, however warned that cultist steer clear of the state as anyone caught will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
