Coutinho The Star In Liverpool’s Awards Night

Brazilian dynamic attacker Phillipe Coutinho has been named Liverpool’s player of the season for the second consecutive year.

liverpool starsCoutinho also won the Performance of the Season for his display against Manchester City in November, Goal of the Season for his solo strike against Manchester United in the Europa League and First Team Player’s Player of the Season – the same four prizes he won last year. Emre Can also picked up a gong on the night as he won the Young Player of the Season award, while youngster Brad Smith won Academy Players’ Player of the Season.

The trip to Basle in Switzerland will give Klopp another chance at silverware in his first season at the club following Liverpool’s defeat by Manchester City in the Capital One Cup final in February.Liverpool also still have the obstacle of their final Premier League game to hurdle, as they visit The Hawthorns to face West Brom on Sunday.
