Spanish international midfielder Sergio Busquets has signed a new five years deal to remain at the club till 2022.
The midfielder has been a consistent mainstay in the Barcelona team for a while and has made 384 appearances for the Spanish champions. The contract, which will be signed in the coming days, has a €200 million buyout clause.Busquets appeared in 53 games in the 2015/16 season, helping Luis Enrique’s side win their 24th La LIga title.
During his eight seasons with Barca, the Spain international has won 23 major honours, including six La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues, four Copas del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups, four Spanish Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
The midfielder, who made his Barca debut under Pep Guardiola in 200,8 has also been a key part of the Spanish national team in recent years, winning the 2010 World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2012.He is a part of Spain’s Euro 2016 squad as they look to defend the title they won four years ago.
