Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli has slammed former managers Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp.
The 26-year-old also believes that he could still win a Ballon d’Or, speaking before scoring twice during his debut for Nice on Sunday.
His goals helped the Ligue 1 side to defeat Marseille 3-2, and are one more than he scored in 20 Serie A games while on loan at AC Milan last season. The Italy international appears to blame his tough time at Anfield on the coaches he had at the club.
‘Apart from the fans, who were fantastic, and some players who I got on really well with, I didn’t like the club,’ the striker told Canal Plus.‘I had two coaches, with Rodgers and Klopp for a short time, but neither their methods nor their personality left me with a good impression. I never really felt right there.’
He added on the possibility of a Ballon d’Or: ‘Of course. It’s not too late. I think I could have already won it by now, but by working hard in training I could still win it in the next two or three years.’
Balotelli hasn’t scored over four goals in a season since the 2013-14 campaign.
