Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff has blasted the All Progressive Congress (APC) to stop blaming the PDP for the economic crisis, especially the scarcity of petrol in the country. He said that, “The APC leaders choose to blame PDP for lack of petrol in the country even after one year in office”.
He advised the APC on Tuesday in Abuja at the inauguration of four special committees ahead of PDP 21 national conventions scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State; to stop blaming us, he said that the PDP is now in the opposition working to reposition our party.
Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff has appealed to members of the party to follow the party’s constitution in pursuing their political ambition and other related matters.
The committees are national convention, reconciliation, zoning and finance. He said that there was need for members to be united and address party issues internally. He said every PDP member has the right to demand for what he intends to achieve within the party, but in doing that he or she should ensure that it is done in line with the party’s constitution.
Sheriff said, “No party is run on the pages of newspaper,”
