5 Things To Look Forward To In The Champions League

It’s the return of the champions league and its actually long over-due with the boring internationals gracefully passed we can expect some action in the champions league.

The last champions league games was fueled with a lot drama and we certainly hope for the same tenacity, goals, red cards, of course no injuries, it’s something we don’t look forward to.

Leicester City

Leicester City, as if winning the premier league wasn’t enough, the Premier League Champions made history in the champions league as the first English side to win their first two games and they are about to make it a third straight win as they face  FC Koebenhavn in today’s game. After resting key players over the weekend to get trashed by Chelsea, it appears Claudio Ranieri  has shifted his attention to the champion’s league; maybe make  another history, you never know. In football there are no impossibilities but we anticipate a great game of football. I believe Leicester will win this one by 2-0.

Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott has being in superb form for the Gunners, scoring 5 goals in 8 appearances is something no one expected from him. Could he be the difference for the gunners this season, we would have to wait to find out but game after game Theo seems to prove he can play at the top. He didn’t have a good game for England during the internationals but it appears he was saving himself for the gunners, let’s hope he stays injury free and delivers every week for the Gunners. Arsenal take on Ludogorets and Theo would sure like to get his name on the score sheet. We wish Theo and the gunners all the best on Wednesday. It won’t be easy for the gunners but i see them been victorious at the end of the game by 3-1.

Pep Guardiola

Barcelona welcomes Manchester City and pep to the Camp Nou but I doubt it would feel like a camp for Man City. They’ve failed to win their last 3 games and this might just be a 4th. The reception would be massive for Pep as they welcome the former hero but he is going to have it all to do as he faces Messi, Suarez and Neymar. We expect to see the best of football and individual players at their best.  I would like to see City as winners but I doubt its going to happen. Messi is back from injury and when he plays well the whole team plays well. Bravo is another player that will have it all to do, stopping the men he use to play for but one thing is certain, it would be an emotional night for him, I hope he keeps  his cool. I see Barcelona winning this by 4-2, I honestly would be surprised to see Man City win this especially because they haven’t been in good form except a miracle happens on Wednesday.

Group E

As the table stands, group E seems to be the tightest of them all because as it stands any of the teams could qualify, unfortunately, Tottenham seems to have it all to do as they sit 2nd on the table after they drew their first game. Monaco tops the group with 4 points, Tottenham sit behind them with 3 points while Bayer Levekusen have 2 points with CSKA sitting at the bottom of the table with a point. CSKA are a good side and if they win their next game the table changes completely. Everyone expects Monaco and Tottenham to top the group but this is football, there are no never.  I expect on the other hand to see some twist in this group by the end of Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho

Finally, Manchester United are not in the Champions league but their manager happens to be there and I honestly look forward to the amazing advert. It’s a shame a club of that stature are not in the champions league but that’s a cross they will have to carry through the season. I wouldn’t leave out Chelsea either or Liverpool as clubs with enormous club supporters should be in the champions league consistently.   Excited about the champions league, glad it’s back and i hope for an action pack games.
