Aston Villa has parted ways with coach Remi Garde after just 147 days at the club.
The manager who took over at the club from Tim Sheerwood hasn’t impressed the clubs hierachy after winning just two of twenty premier league games since he was appointed as the clubs manager.
The statement on the club’s website reads “The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Remi Garde for all his efforts during a difficult period and wish him well in the future”
The club also confirms the appointment of assistant Eric Black as the interim manager until the appointment of a new manager
“Eric Black will take over as acting manager until the club appoints a new manager.There will be no futher comments from the club at this stage”
Remi Garde’s last game in charge was a 1-0 defeat to Swansea city which left Aston Villa twelve points from safety with seven games remaining in the premier league.Eric Black’s starts his tenure with a home game against former champions Chelsea.
