Fake NNPC Staff Arrested And Arraigned By EFCC

A fake NNPC staff has been arrested and arraigned by the Economic and financial Crimes Commission on Monday.

EFCC, arraigned Raymond Odika, the alleged fake NNPC staff on a six-count charge of criminal conspiracy and obtaining by false pretense. He was arraigned before Justice Dugbo Oghoghorie of the Federal High Court, Enugu.


According to reports, Mr. Odika , defrauded a Malachy Olife and Peter Sunday of the sum of N624,000. He allegedly executed the crime with another man named Solomon Chidi Onyia who as at the time of report, is still at large. The men claimed that they were staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

Upon appearing in court, Mr. Odika pleaded not guilty to all counts of the charge preferred against him.

EFCC counsel, I.I. Mbachie, in view of the accused’s plea urged the court to remand Odika in prison and fix a date for the bail hearing and continuation of trial.

Justice Oghoghorie, however admitted the accused person to bail on the grounds that he had been on administrative bail granted him by the EFCC, before adjourning the case to March 23, 2016.
