- Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand is the national airline of New Zealand. Based in Auckland, the airline operates scheduled passenger flights to 22 domestic and 29 international destinations in 16 countries around the Pacific rim and the United Kingdom.Air New Zealand is known for its award-winning inflight innovations, operational safety and environmental leadership.
It’s the third time in a row it’s won the title, and this year it scored another triple with wins in the Best Premium Economy Class and Best Economy Class categories.
Qantas is the flag carrier airline of Australia and its largest airline by fleet size, international flights and international destinations. It is the third oldest airline in the world.. Having led the way by installing showers in its lounges several decades ago, Qantas cleaned up in the Best Lounges, Best Catering and Best Domestic Service categories.
AirlineRatings was impressed by the new Qantas lounges in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
There was also praise for the Aussie carrier’s robust broadband Internet access (something a lot of other carriers fell down on). It offers a choice of four main meal options and has doubled the size of meals.
Etihad is a flag carrier and the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates (after Emirates). Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi International Airport (OMAA – ICAO).
The airline operates more than 1,000 flights per week to over 120 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas If you’re looking for premium experience, AirlineRatings says Etihad Airways and Singapore Airlines are the way to go.
Abu Dhabi-based Etihad was named Best in First Class category.

Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier of Hong Kong, with its head office and main hub located at Hong Kong International Airport.
The airline’s operations include scheduled passenger and cargo services to 200 destinations in 52 countries worldwide, codeshares, and joint ventures, with a fleet of wide-body aircraft, For excellence in Long Haul, Cathay Pacific is the way to go.
- Singapore Airlines
Singapore is the flag carrier of Singapore with its hub at Singapore Changi Airport.
The Singapore Airlines group includes many airline-related subsidiaries: SIA Engineering Company handles maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business across nine countries, with a portfolio of 27 joint ventures, including with Boeing and Rolls-Royce.
