At every point in time it becomes the headache of air travellers to pick among arrays of airlines. Passengers are mostly concerned about comfort and ease, we all want to travel by air and have less worry about Jet lag or nausea  feeling that occur after a long journey. With large number of airlines travelling to your destination, it boils down to which is most suited for you.

Well according to airline ratings, here are the top 5 airlines in 2016.

  1. Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand is the national airline of New Zealand. Based in Auckland, the airline operates scheduled passenger flights to 22 domestic and 29 international destinations in 16 countries around the Pacific rim and the United Kingdom.Air New Zealand is known for its award-winning inflight innovations, operational safety and environmental leadership.

It’s the third time in a row it’s won the title, and this year it scored another triple with wins in the Best Premium Economy Class and Best Economy Class categories.

     2.Qantas

Qantas is the flag carrier airline of Australia and its largest airline by fleet size, international flights and international destinations. It is the third oldest airline in the world.. Having led the way by installing showers in its lounges several decades ago, Qantas cleaned up in the Best Lounges, Best Catering and Best Domestic Service categories.

AirlineRatings was impressed by the new Qantas lounges in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

There was also praise for the Aussie carrier’s robust broadband Internet access (something a lot of other carriers fell down on). It offers a choice of four main meal options and has doubled the size of meals.

Etihad is a flag carrier and the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates (after Emirates). Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi International Airport (OMAA – ICAO).
